The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is SRD due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area every day. The support issue created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
